Material selection and scope
Specify the top with the cabinet plan
Color is one decision. A complete countertop scope also records field dimensions, slab yield, cutouts, seams, supports and site access. Build a shortlist, then verify the details with the project team.

Select up to eight quartz references for sample and pricing review.
Submit scope inputs
Include drawings, sink and appliance models, edge and splash requirements.
Confirm field conditions
Fabrication measurements follow the installed, level cabinet run.
Approve production details
Review seams, slab layout, pricing, delivery and installation before fabrication.
Material planning
Document material approval
Catalog images identify color references, but current physical samples or slab review are needed for exact appearance. Note the approved color, thickness and finish with the project record.
Pattern movement and slab lot can affect seam planning. Mark focal areas on the drawing before fabricator review.
Material planning
Coordinate cabinets and fixtures
Countertop cutouts depend on current sink, faucet, cooktop and appliance specifications. Verify bowl size, mounting method, support and service access against the actual cabinet configuration.
Panels, fillers, overhangs and finished walls can change the final footprint. These conditions should be resolved before templating.
Material planning
Build a complete pricing scope
Material square footage is only one input. Thickness, slab yield, edge details, seams, backsplashes, cutouts, support, freight, site access and installation affect the fabricated price.
The fabricator confirms safe seam locations and handling limits. Large pieces, upper floors and narrow access routes may change the production plan.
Material planning
Control installation and closeout
Secure and level cabinets before field measurement. Keep fixtures and panels available as required by the fabricator, and track revisions after templating.
At completion, inspect seams, edges, cutouts and surface condition. Use the selected supplier’s current care guidance.

Need a granite specification?
Supply the preferred color family, approximate area, plans, ZIP code and installation scope. Available slabs and regional pricing are verified for the project.
Material questions
Questions before fabrication
What information supports a countertop quote?
Provide current plans or dimensions, material preference, thickness, edge, sink and appliance models, backsplash, ZIP code and installation requirements.
Is square-foot pricing the final total?
No. Fabrication, slab yield, cutouts, seams, delivery and installation depend on the exact project.
Can I approve a color from a screen?
Use site imagery to shortlist. Confirm current physical samples or slabs before final approval.
